„I’ve always loved writing. One of my best memories as a child was sitting in the family room when I was about 7, laboriously writing with a stubby little pencil about an injured fawn that was later set free into the wild. My teacher liked the story so much she submitted it without my knowledge to a children’s magazine where it was published. Naturally, I was hooked on this writing bit.

But practicalities intruded as I grew older, and while I studied literature, language, and politics at the university, I eventually ended up in the corporate world. Only within the past several years have I returned to what I do best; writing. Currently, I write business operations materials by day but by night—well, by night, now that’s a different thing entirely. Right now, I’m making wonderful progress on a novel about a woman who returns to live in a small town where she spent her summers growing up. Unfortunately, the idyllic town she remembers as a teenager is actually a town with a sinister past—a past the town elders would rather keep buried. They’re almost succeeding but wouldn’t you know secrets have a way of coming to light when you least expect it?

The food you would die for?

Sake Nigiri, Indian food and Thai food.

Your prefered holiday destination?

Nowhere in particular and anywhere in general. I just like to travel and unfortunately, don’t do enough of it.

Your pet?

Sammy. He was a throwaway cat we rescued from the local animal shelter. We suspect he was a dog in a former life.

Lawn oder countryside – What kind of leisure type are you?

Countryside. It’s more relaxing and helps inspire creativity.

Your first car?

A Volkswagen Beetle. Ja, Fahrvergnügen!

With whom you like most to make a joyride?

My better half and best buddy, Kevin.  J

What do you carry always with you?

Tissues. You just never know what you’ll find, or if you’ll find it when you venture into a public bathroom.

A happy, healthy, contented life. Oh wait, I’ve already got that. Never mind.
