Militärhafen Limassol, Zypern: Ankunft

Gegen Mittag liefen wir auf der „Braunschweig“ in den Hafen von Limassol auf Zypern ein. Unsere Mission war fast beendet. Wir sahen die deutschen Blauhelm-Soldaten Spalier stehen. Die Schiffshupe ertönte. Das Gefühl, das mich überkam, war fast feierlich.

Ich hatte anstrengende, aber interessante Tage hinter mir im Libanon. Dort besuchte ich als Reporterin die Friedensmission der Vereinten Nationen UNIFIL. Abschließend hatte ich im deutschen Camp im Militärhafen von Limassol noch ein Gespräch mit Axel Schrader, dem Leiter des deutschen UNIFIL-Kontingents.
