Bangkok ist laut und hektisch – rund um die Uhr. Ein Moloch, aber durchaus mit Charme. Ich bin oft in der südostasiatischen Metropole und immer wieder zieht sie mich an, stößt mich gleichzeitig aber auch ab. Gerüche, Farben, Menschen, die wie Roboter agieren, lassen mich jedes Mal aufs Neue staunen und verweilen. Dieses Mal habe ich mich auf den Weg gemacht, um das andere Bangkok zu sehen, nur für einen Spätnachmittag, an dem ich noch ein wenig Zeit hatte. Hinüber, ans andere Ufer des Chao Praya, und dann eintauchen in eine mir bis dahin vollkommen unbekannte Welt. Ein paar Fotos habe ich von diesem spontanen Ausflug mitgebracht.

I am often in Bangkok. Most of the time I use the city as a stopover. Busy, crazy, chaotic … that’s it. This time I had a spare afternoon and I ventured out, crossed the river Chao Praya and found myself in a completely unknown part of the city. And what I found was the old and traditional life as people lived it for years and years and years. Just have a look!
