Kurdish dancing is usually made up of a group of people from both genders of men and women or a group of the same sex. As a tradition, in the past a big drum bang and a pipe playing would have meant the start of the dancing and men and women in groups would have made a circle of people holding each other’s hands and made slow movements forward and backward or to the right or left. The most common Kurdish dancing are the three steps, Chopi, Shekhani, Suskeyi and the Badinani Styles.
