Easter time. Full of special memories for me. I close my eyes and see the whole family sitting all dressed up at the Easter table, I hear the fuss everyone is making and smell the flavour of our favourite Easter dishes, including naturally the freshly baked cakes. Unforgettable!
My mother used to bake the best Mazurka Cake, a flat Polish pastry made with caramel, nuts and almonds. We simply loved it and never had enough!
Today, we still sit all dressed up at the Easter table. Some have passed away and it will never be the same anymore. But we still try to enjoy every moment of this special holiday, spending time together, talking and eating our beloved food. Obviously, I bake.
This Easter I made Mint Pomegranate Cake. The base of this cake stems from the White Dream Cake, which I have previously presented to you. But this time, I added pomegranate into the inside cream and, as you can see, I used a lot of mint to decorate it. Looks amazing, doesn’t it?
Family, food and a stunning cake. Could I ask for more this Easter?
Wishing you a Perfect and Memorable Easter,
Gosha
