Surf the BREXIT away …

Newquay 001

„One of my most memorable memories was having the ocean breeze in my face and feel the board under my body overlooking the waves. The sun was shining and I could have been anywhere in the world.“

I love to remember my last year’s stay in Ericeira, Portugal. There I have been on a surfboard for the first time in my life. Since then I love it. And I got to know that there is another great surf spot in the world: Newquay in Cornwall. This place is famous for its surfing with world class competitions held every year. But you don’t have to be a professional to enjoy the whole surfing experience.DSCF5218 (Large)

With 12 golden sandy beaches you are spoilt for choice. Whether it’s your first time on a surf board or it’s a matter of brushing up on your surfing skills. There is an array of surf schools in Newquay and plenty of places to hire surf boards and wetsuits.DSCF5240 (Large)

Surf schools run lessons for all ages and abilities – from the absolute beginner taking their first steps on a surfboard to those who want to improve on their existing skills. If you just want to try out surfing or bodyboarding at your own pace the town and beaches have plenty of shops where you can hire wetsuits and boards.

And after? Relax and take a stroll along the seafront allowing the sea to gently cover your feet to wash away any cares you might have had. Just listen to the sound of the sea. Fistral Beach is Newquay’s iconic beach, quite simply one of the most consistent and best surfing beaches in the UK and Europe.

As soon as possible I will try it out! For another great experience on a surf board!DSCF5226 (Large)
